A fascinating Civilworks project is featured on a new TV show, documenting the efforts to restore a historic lifesaving station on Wood Island in Maine. Duncan Mellor, PE of CNE designed and permitted the replacement seawalls, the ADA accessible dock and a replacement marine railway for launching surf boats and for winter storage of the 12,000 lbs. floating dock. Creative cost-effective solutions were developed to facilitate construction at the intertidal work site on an island with no road access. Watch the full PBS episode here.
